Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a mixed Med/Surg patient population on a 30-bed unit with a 5–6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Monitor vital signs and patient status; respond promptly to changes and escalate as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and ancillary staff; communicate clearly with patients and families
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record; ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards
• Support patient safety, comfort, symptom management, and family education throughout the shift

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital setting
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit with 12-hour day shifts; no scheduled time off (no RTO) during the assignment
