The Opportunity

Our client is the  fastest-growing commercial entrance, door, loading dock, and access control company in the industry . Backed by premier Private Equity capital, the organization is in full "buy and build" mode—doubling in size year-over-year, having surpassed 100+ team members, and actively executing 5+ strategic acquisitions per year.

As the company rapidly expands its footprint across New England, they are seeking a high-impact  Regional Director of Operations to serve as the tactical right-hand leader to the  Chief Operating Officer (a 25+ year industry turnaround executive) while working closely alongside the  Chief Executive Officer (former President of ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems).

This is not a theoretical desk job or a slide-deck role. This is a  boots-on-the-ground, roll-up-your-sleeves operational leadership position for a field-tested leader who loves being on jobsites, integrating newly acquired businesses, standardizing service delivery, and driving profitable P&L growth across regional branches.

Who You Are

• The Industry Veteran: You know your doors, docks, and entrance systems inside and out—from sectional, rolling steel, and high-speed doors to mechanical dock levelers and access control integrations. You deeply understand how commercial service and installation branches generate margin.
• The Field-First Leader: You’d rather solve a dispatch bottleneck in a regional shop or walk a jobsite with a lead technician than sit in meetings all day.
• The Integration Architect: You know how to take newly acquired, paper-based operations and modernize them onto centralized enterprise platforms (NetSuite, ServiceTitan) without burning out technicians or losing local customer trust.
• The Financial & Process Fixer: You can spot leaks in the order-to-cash cycle—whether caused by bad routing, delayed billing, or inventory loss—and implement permanent fixes that protect branch P&Ls.

What You Will Do

• Regional Branch Standardization: Travel across regional New England branches (Connecticut, Massachusetts, and neighboring markets) to professionalize day-to-day operations, service flow, inventory management, and technician dispatching.
• Acquisition Integration: Lead the operational onboarding of newly acquired businesses. Blend local cultures, align field teams to corporate standards, and transition branches onto modern ERP/FSM tools (NetSuite / ServiceTitan).
• Order-to-Cash Optimization: Audit branch workflows to eliminate billing backlogs, streamline technician routing, reduce unbilled labor, and improve overall gross profit margins.
• Field Coaching & P&L Mentorship: Mentor Branch Managers and Service Managers on how to read their P&Ls, track daily field KPIs, enforce accountability, and build high-performing technical teams.
• Safety Culture Champion: Drive an uncompromised "Safety First" culture across all regional field operations, ensuring OSHA standards and company safety protocols are rigorously lived on every jobsite.

What You Bring

• 7+ Years of Operational Leadership: Direct management experience in commercial doors, loading docks, access control, or commercial building mechanical systems.
• Industry background with firms like Miner, DuraServ, DH Pace, Vortex, ASSA ABLOY, or similar commercial field service organizations is highly preferred.
• Technical Entry Knowledge: Deep working understanding of commercial entry solutions, high-speed doors, dock equipment, and industrial automation.
• M&A & System Exposure: Hands-on experience working with modern FSM/ERP tools (ServiceTitan, NetSuite, or equivalent) and strong analytical/Excel skills.
• Road Warrior Mentality: Willingness to travel 75%+ of the time across the regional territory.
• Logistics & Residence: Must currently reside in  Connecticut or Massachusetts with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
