VP / Head of Sales - Investment Operations Software (New York City Metropolitan Area)

$180-220K + Commission/Bonus + Full Benefits Package

($350-400K(+) OTE, uncapped)

Leading Investment Management Data Solutions FinTech company seeks entrepreneurial VP of Sales / Head of Sales to drive new business development sales of data management technology SaaS platforms (portfolio reporting, OMS, risk software) into hedge funds and the buy-side, manage strategic relationships, and grow software sales and ARR across the hedge fund, asset manager, and fund administrator community. This is an individual contributor / new logo role. The successful candidate will be a senior level salesperson, experienced in selling investment management software either directly to hedge funds or through existing network prime broker consultants (eg. JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs), conferences, established buy side relationships and other referral channels. The successful candidate will have a strong track record selling investment management software and data management solutions and ideally have a network of relationships on the buy-side and/or in the prime broker consulting ecosystem. Must have a successful track record selling front office to back office data management, investment operations, middle-office, or trading software (OMS) platforms - with typical deal sizes in the $100k-700k ARR range.

Responsibilities include :

• Generate new sales opportunities through personal relationships, partner channels, referral networks, and targeted outbound sales
• Sell data management, front and middle office products into hedge funds, asset managers, fund administrators, prime brokers and financial services providers.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with hedge fund COOs, CFOs, CTOs, Heads of Operations, Heads of Data, and other key decision-makers.
• Develop strong referral networks with Prime Brokerage consulting teams, Fund Administrators, Financial Technology Consultants and other service providers to hedge funds and asset managers.
• Manage strategic client relationships after initial sale.
• Own the commercial sales process from initial relationship development through proposal, negotiation, and close.
• Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
• Work strategically with marketing, product and founders to help refine messaging, competitive positioning, and sales collateral.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in Financial Technology or Investment Operations enterprise sales, business development, relationship management, or aligned experience.
• Demonstrated personal track record closing enterprise deals
• Proven relationships within hedge funds, asset managers, prime brokers, fund administrators, or related financial services organizations.
• Relationships with prime brokerage consulting teams, especially at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and J.P. Morgan highly preferred (not required).
• Strong understanding of how large investment managers evaluate and purchase data management, workflow, integration, or operations technology.
• Ability to operate successfully in a founder-led, entrepreneurial environment.
• Willingness to personally prospect, build relationships, follow up, and close business.
• Strong executive presence and consultative sales skills.
• Approx 25% travel for client meetings, partner meetings, and industry events.
• This is a remote role, the ideal candidate will be based in the New York Tri-state area.
