Business Development Executive (Rental Housing)

Assurant has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multifamily Business Development Executive in our Renters Solutions Enterprise Sales Team!You will be responsible for Southeast territory: Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert in the Renters Insurance products, identify customer needs through sales prospecting, build on crucial client/industry relationships, participate in the development of client plans, introduce new products and services, manage your sales pipeline, conducting online and in-person sales presentations, and execute client deals.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Expand sales in existing and new accounts by identifying customer needs, participating in developing client plans, and introducing new products and services.Influence prospects to buy products by mastering the selling process and identifying and pursuing market and niche opportunities.Enhances relationship with client by providing support, information, and guidance.Research and recommend new opportunities and profit/service improvements while assisting leaders in outlining these opportunities or enhancements. Serves as a subject matter expert to others in resolving complex problems and issues. Use in-depth knowledge of business arrangements, both financial and contractual. Understand financial trends and fluctuations with assigned clients and communicate issues and resolutions to clients and channel personnel. Acts as a consultant with other channels and utilities at Assurant.What are the requirements needed for this position?5+ years of combined experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic relationship management, multifamily or single-family housing, commercial real estate, or a closely related field.Advanced networking skills and expert ability to build deep, meaningful and robust relationships.Demonstrated ability to use housing industry knowledge and key professional relationships to develop business opportunities, influence senior stakeholders, and support business growth.What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Established relationships with c-suite or executive level decision-makers across the multifamily or single-family housing industry, such as property management companies, owners/operators, REITs, developers, asset managers, private equity firms, or institutional lenders.Experience supporting large housing portfolios or complex, long-cycle commercial opportunities.Knowledge of multifamily operations, asset management, real estate investment, or portfolio economics.A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.How much should I expect to travel?up to 40% annual travelThis role also includes an additional variable compensation plan tied to sales performance.#LI-Remote#AssurantProudKSPay Range:$88,000.00 - $147,000.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.If there is no posting end date listed then this is a pipeline requisition, and we will continue to collect applications on an ongoing basis.Helping People Thrive in a Connected WorldConnect with us.
