Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth clinical assessments for individuals undergoing detoxification, developing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to their mental health needs.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), based on the specific conditions and preferences of each client.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment strategy for patients, attending regular interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress.

• Provide education and supportive materials to clients and their families to enhance understanding of mental health issues and available community resources.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current on mental health trends and research, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.

• Manage a full caseload of patients, monitoring therapeutic progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet the evolving needs of clients.

• Uphold professional standards and ethical practices in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client focus will primarily be on individuals undergoing detoxification and treatment for substance use disorders, as well as co-occurring mental health issues. You will play a crucial role in helping these patients navigate recovery by employing trauma-informed care approaches that respect their dignity and promote agency.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• A valid certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
