Health Information Management (HIM) -Site Coordinator - Touro

Essential Functions The HIM Site Coordinator is responsible for monitoring all HIM functions related to medical record processing and quality control for the legal medical record. The role includes coordinating on-site HIM operational functions, implementing facility policies and procedures to maintain the medical records system in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, supervising the processing of on‑site documents, liaising with physicians for chart completion, performing audits and trending reports, improving compliance with document accuracy, coordinating Release of Information functions, performing on‑site office functions, and providing education to end users regarding the medical record. Job Qualifications Education: Minimum required Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum required two years in a related field with an Associate’s degree, or no experience required with a bachelor’s degree. Preferred experience in Health Information Management.
