What you will do Volvo Group North America, LLC and Mack Trucks, Inc. are seeking an Employment Counsel to join our Legal & Compliance team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role will serve as the primary advisor to the People & Culture team and management on employment‑related legal issues. Key Responsibilities Providing practical and timely legal advice on hiring, discipline, terminations, accommodations, leaves of absence and various issues for both hourly and salaried employees. Ensuring adherence to federal and state laws, including Title VII, the ADA, the FMLA and the FLSA. Managing all employment‑related litigation, controlling legal budgets and overseeing outside counsel. Drafting and updating employment policies and documents to align with evolving legal standards. Overseeing sensitive internal investigations. Providing timely training on employment‑related legal topics. Who are you? We are looking for a professional with strong legal expertise and excellent communication skills who can translate complex legal issues into clear guidance for non‑lawyers. Required Qualifications Education: Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. Experience: At least 7 years of employment law experience, preferably a mix of top‑tier law firm and in‑house experience. Skills: Ability to understand complex employment‑related legal issues and provide practical, pragmatic and understandable advice to non‑lawyers. What’s in it for you?
