Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience teaching Math at the middle or early high school level
• Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation
• Proficiency in creating differentiated lesson plans and using adaptive teaching methods
• Excellent communication skills, both with students and interdisciplinary teams
• A compassionate and patient approach to guiding students with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver specialized Math instruction for students in 7th to 9th grade aligned with individual education plans
• Develop and maintain IEPs, chart student progress, and collaborate with parents and staff to ensure student success
• Adjust curriculum as needed to fit the unique learning styles and abilities of each student
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages academic and social-emotional growth
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in school meetings as required
