Job Overview

As a Safety Valve Technician, you will play a critical role in assembling and testing safety valve components. You will ensure compliance with engineering standards and maintain high-quality workmanship. If you are detail-oriented and enjoy hands-on work, this position is an excellent fit for you.

Responsibilities

• Repair safety relief valves to National Board VR Code standards
• Test safety valves using air, water, and steam
• Read and interpret manufacturer drawings and spring charts
• Understand steam boiler operations and testing
• Apply measurement and math skills to verify critical dimensions
• Perform machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discs
• Conduct valve write-ups
• Pressure and leak test valves according to National Board, API, and ASME standards

Work Environment

• Fast-paced and noisy workshop
• Long-standing hours
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently up to 50 lbs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of related experience
• Experience with the assembly of safety valves preferred
• Proficiency with dial calipers and micrometers

Preferences

• Experience with Consolidated products
• Ability to read and interpret assembly manuals
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems

Shift Details

• 1st Shift: 7 am to 3 pm, Monday Friday
• Opportunity for overtime and weekend work
