ASSESSOR-RECORDER TECHNICIAN I

THE JOB:

This is the first working level classification in the Assessor-Recorder Technician series. Incumbents perform a wide variety of responsible technical duties related to the processing of legal documents, assessment records, ownership transfers, and exemptions. Incumbents exercise judgment in applying established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures while learning more complex assignments. The list established from this recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancy and any future vacancies during the life of the list.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain this knowledge and abilities would be: Equivalent to graduation from high school and Two years of responsible clerical, administrative support, records management, title, escrow, legal, real estate, appraisal, assessment, recording, or related experience. OR Completion of an Associate degree or equivalent coursework in business administration, public administration, legal studies, real estate, accounting, or a related field.
