Senior Property Accountant #2

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $125,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly accounting close process, including recording operational activity and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly schedules to support balance sheet and income statement reporting.
• Record rental and ancillary income, reconcile to cash receipts, and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed assets and calculate monthly depreciation and amortization expenses.
• Analyze financial data, compare actuals to budget, and explain significant variances.

• Demonstrate credibility, ethical conduct, and a strong sense of confidentiality.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with strong written and verbal skills.
• Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, AMSI, eSite, QuickBooks, and other accounting software.
• Analyze, organize, and summarize complex financial and legal information accurately.

• A Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.
• Preferably maintain a CPA designation, though not required.
• 4+ years of accounting and finance experience, ideally in multifamily real estate.
• Understand GAAP, modified cash basis, and cash basis accounting principles.
• Interpret partnership agreements, waterfalls, and debt agreements with accuracy.
