CGP: SR. Property Accountant

Century Group's leading real estate clients is searching for a Senior Property Accountant to join their team full-time. You will play a pivotal role within our financial team, overseeing critical accounting functions related to our retail real estate properties. Your meticulous attention to detail, financial expertise, and collaborative approach with stakeholders will significantly contribute to our organization's success. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary of $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reporting packages specifically tailored for retail properties.
- Skillfully navigate various transactions, identifying appropriate accounting treatments.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by meticulously preparing journal entries and reconciling the account.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements to uphold precise financial records, as well as prepare detailed common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
- Collaborate closely with property managers, property owners, and vendors on financial matters, in addition to assisting management in executing special projects as assigned.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of general accounting experience
- Real estate property accounting experience
