CGP: Senior Property Accountant

We are partnering with a leading real estate client for a Senior Property Accountant. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
Job Descriptions:- Manage day-to-day accounting for assigned assets.
- Monitor operating cash accounts and cash position.
- Reconcile bank accounts, including researching tenant deposits, posting manual checks, and recording cash transfers.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, reconciling general ledger accounts to subledgers and supporting schedules.
- Review financial reporting packages for completeness and accuracy before distribution.
- Interpret and apply property loan documents, operating agreements, organizational charts, and other relevant documents to ensure compliance.
- Update and maintain schedules for property tax, property insurance, and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Post journal entries for month-end and year-end close, including operating expense and capital expenditure accruals.
- Record audit adjusting journal entries and reconcile financial statements to audited financial statements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, specifically in property accounting.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP accounting.
