CGP: FULL CHARGE PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Full Charge Property Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of up to $72,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned properties and support analysis of results.
- Manage general ledger activity by recording journal entries and completing account and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee full cycle payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments, tenant billing, and collections.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting by tracking actual results and explaining variances.
- Review lease details, calculate rent adjustments, and support expense recovery reporting and compliance efforts.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, real estate, property management, or a related area.
- A strong understanding of general accounting practices and accrual based accounting.
- Previous experience using property management or accounting systems and Excel for analysis.
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities in a structured environment.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with property management and finance teams.
- Organized and reliable work style with consistent follow through on tasks.
- Ability to interpret lease terms and support financial reporting for properties.
- Interest in process improvement and maintaining accurate and compliant financial records.
