CGP: Inventory Accountant or Senior Inventory Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Inventory Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $36.00 to $41.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review inventory exception reports and investigate changes in cost and margin metrics
- Validate inventory transfers and correct discrepancies in reported data
- Analyze inconsistencies in inventory records and recommend process improvements to prevent errors and lost sales
- Execute cost and merchandise adjustments in the ERP system to ensure accurate pricing and margin tracking
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance inventory reporting and support operational goals
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in inventory accounting, analysis, or management
- Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with PDI is a plus but not mandatory
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Strong communication skills for working across departments and presenting findings
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory data and identify root causes of discrepancies
- A solid understanding of financial reporting tools and digital analytics platforms
- Strong mathematical and critical thinking skills to support financial analysis
- Organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
