Security Officer - Full Time Hospital Patrol

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, wayfinding, and reporting concerns involving restricted areas, disruptive behavior, and/or trespassing. Support healthcare operations by observing for policy violations, assisting during high-traffic periods, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: Ability to work in a hospital morgue environment is required. Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
