Work Environment\n

This role is a remote position, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you remain connected to our supportive team. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional adaptations required based on patient scheduling needs. Our remote framework is designed to maintain a strong connection among team members, employing technology for virtual meetings and consultations, thereby keeping communications fluid and collaborative.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to effectively evaluate each patient’s trauma history and treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on recovery and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients through their recovery journey.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote holistic healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support strategies during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stability for patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and various coping mechanisms, while also providing information on available resources to support their journeys.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in line with legal and ethical standards to support treatment goals.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities directed toward trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in trauma therapy and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma, including children, adults, and families dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders. By offering sensitive, tailored therapeutic interventions, you will help guide these clients through their challenging experiences, equipping them with the tools necessary to heal and thrive. You will also extend your support to their families, empowering them with knowledge and strategies to aid in their loved ones' recovery.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Furthermore, you must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of 2 years' experience post-licensure is preferred, with a strong knowledge base in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches. Experience in delivering specialized trauma-focused therapies will be beneficial. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, along with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor, are essential to foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Compensation and Benefits\n
