Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse Nights in an acute care setting. This role involves providing patient care for neuro-medical surgical patients, including those with stroke, spine surgery, seizure, and brain tumors, on a dedicated neuro unit. The position requires experience working in a traumaLevel 1 environment and on a specialized neuro unit. Job Details: Certifications, Education & Experience: BLS (AHA), NIHSS; minimum experience required: 1 year(s). Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated. Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, Minimum of 36 hours per week. Responsibilities: Titrate heparin drips based on PTT, work within a unit with designated nurse/patient ratios, and perform troubleshooting for telemetry monitoring and high flow oxygen equipment. Additional Information: Must have previous travel experience and experience specifically on a dedicated neuro unit. Nurse aides or patient care techs are present on the unit, with float rotation in place. There is a 2-day orientation conducted with a preceptor.
