Position type: Contract
Duration: 12 months
Location:- 3 days onsite role at Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Scrum Master, you will:
Must have:
Remedy (tool) release management
SNOW (ServiceNow) would be a plus - replacing Remedy
Release manager (tool)
Dev background would be great. May ask them to do some vibe coding (prompted coding) if they can, but it's more about being able to work with the tech teams and their processes.

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced  Scrum Master to lead Agile teams in delivering high-quality technology solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs. The Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader, coach, facilitator, and change agent, helping teams embrace Agile principles, improve delivery performance, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile delivery, stakeholder management, team coaching, and driving successful outcomes within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
Agile Leadership & Facilitation

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:
  • Sprint Planning
  • Daily Scrum
  • Sprint Reviews
  • Sprint Retrospectives
  • Backlog Refinement sessions
• Ensure effective adherence to Scrum principles, Agile values, and team working agreements.
• Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
• Foster a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-performing team environment.

Delivery Management

• Support teams in delivering commitments within sprint and release objectives.
• Monitor team performance, sprint progress, and delivery metrics.
• Drive transparency through appropriate Agile reporting and dashboards.
• Ensure risks, dependencies, issues, and impediments are identified, tracked, and resolved.
• Escalate critical delivery concerns when necessary.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Product Owners, Business Partners, Architects, and Technology Leaders.
• Facilitate communication between Agile teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment between delivery objectives and business priorities.
• Manage dependencies across multiple teams and workstreams.

Agile Coaching & Continuous Improvement

• Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile practices.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives through retrospectives and action planning.
• Promote Agile maturity and continuous learning within the organization.
• Support Agile transformations and organizational change initiatives.

Metrics & Reporting

• Track and analyze Agile metrics such as:
  • Velocity
  • Sprint Burndown
  • Burnup
  • Predictability
  • Capacity Utilization
  • Lead Time
  • Cycle Time
  • Defect Trends
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive data-informed decision-making to improve team performance.

Risk & Dependency Management

• Identify, document, and manage:
  • Delivery risks
  • Cross-team dependencies
  • Technical blockers
  • Resource constraints
• Facilitate problem-solving sessions to address impediments.
• Ensure mitigation plans are developed and executed.

Required Qualifications
Education

• Bachelor's degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Engineering
  • Business Administration
  • Related discipline

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• 7+ years of experience in technology delivery, project management, or Agile environments.
• Experience supporting software development teams using Agile methodologies.
• Experience working within large, complex enterprise organizations.
• Experience managing multiple Agile teams simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Agile at scale frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, or View email address on apply.j-vers.com.

Strong understanding of:

• Lean Methodologies
• Agile Metrics and Reporting

Required Certifications
At least one of the following:
Scrum Certifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM I, II, or III)
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
• Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM)

Preferred Additional Certifications

• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)
• SAFe Agilist (SA)
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
• ICAgile Agile Coach Certification
• Certified Agile Leadership (CAL)

Technical Skills
Experience with Agile delivery tools such as:

• Jira
• Confluence
• Microsoft Teams
• SharePoint

Understanding of:

• SDLC processes
• CI/CD pipelines
• Release Management
• Defect Management
• Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• DevOps practices

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $74- $78 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
