Role Description The Business Development Representative is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Chicago Area. This role focuses on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing inbound and outbound prospecting efforts, and building relationships with potential clients in the small and medium-sized business segment. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outreach via phone, email, and online channels, scheduling and leading introductory meetings, and presenting the value of the company’s IT support and outsourcing services. The representative will collaborate with the sales and technical teams to develop proposals, follow up on leads, and maintain accurate records in CRM systems. The role also involves tracking market trends, participating in networking events, and contributing to sales strategies that support revenue growth. Qualifications Demonstrated Inside Sales experience, including managing pipelines and converting qualified leads into opportunities. Strong Lead Generation skills, with the ability to research prospects, conduct cold outreach, and nurture early-stage relationships. Excellent Communication abilities, including clear verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions. Proven Sales skills, including consultative selling, negotiation, and closing techniques in a B2B environment. Business Development experience with growing accounts, identifying new markets, and supporting long-term client relationships. Familiarity with IT services or technology solutions and willingness to learn industry-specific offerings. Proficiency with CRM software and basic office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 or similar). Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chicago Area, manage time effectively, and meet performance targets. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
