We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic Sous Chef to join our team and to help deliver unforgettable hospitality in a one-of-a-kind setting. What You’ll Do: Maintain a high level of food quality and standards ensuring guest satisfaction Maintain a high standard of safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen Oversee quality standards and ensure that department rules, policies and procedures are maintained Supervises the production of all food items Execute menu items in a timely and efficient manner to meet and exceed guest expectations Responsible for the monthly inventory of all items in the kitchen Ensure recipe standards are being followed in line with SUSHI SAMBA standards Attend mandatory pre shift briefings What We’re Looking For: 3 years experience working as a Sous Chef or higher Excellent communication skills in the English language both written and verbal The ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently The ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards Drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team Full ownership of your role Possession of valid Food Handler Card Valid documentation of your right to work in the U.S What We Offer: A competitive salary depending on experience up to $80,000/year The chance to be part of a world-renowned brand’s LA debut Ongoing training and clear opportunities for growth Medical healthcare contributions for eligible employees with the option for employees to include dental and vision insurance 401k retirement plan Long service awards 50% discount when dining at SUSHI SAMBA Holiday parties Free daily staff meals on duty Quarterly company sponsored employee events Access to 24/7 Employee Assistance Program Ready to make your mark?
