Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A supportive school district in Dover, NH is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time position during the 2026–2027 school year. This is a great opportunity to work in a self-contained mental health and behavior program at the middle school level while collaborating with a dedicated special education team. 

Position Details:

• Location: Dover, NH
• School Year: 2026–2027
• Dates: September 1, 2026 – June 16, 2027
• Schedule: 32.5–35 hours per week
• School Hours: 7:30 AM – 2:20 PM
• Caseload: Approximately 10–16 students
• Setting: Self-contained mental health/behavior program
• Position Type: School-Based Contract

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support services
• Manage a caseload of students and oversee IEP implementation
• Conduct evaluations and maintain required documentation
• Prepare reports and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Qualifications:

• Active New Hampshire Special Education Teaching License required
• Previous experience in special education settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and behavior support skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
