Accounts Receivable Specialist

This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures as it pertains to Accounts Receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily invoicing of Direct Shipment orders
• Responsible for entering and posting cash receipts for non-factor accounts
• Responsible for applying and reconciling payments from non-factor accounts
• Responsible for preparing and posting journal entries at the end of month with supporting documentation
• Responsible for managing, reconciling, and collecting payments on PayPal for employee orders
• Responsible for reconciling local A/R Reserve accounts
• Responsible for assuring timely and accurate invoicing
• Responsible for assisting in month end closing and reports.
• Responsible for assisting manager with collections for factor and non-factor accounts
• Responsible for assisting with daily sales spreadsheets and balancing to the General Ledger
• Responsible for assisting manager with gathering and providing appropriate documentation for audit requests

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; or a minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices
• Working knowledge of auditing practices and principles
• Working knowledge and experience with related computer applications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) as well as experience with pivot tables
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management
• Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
• Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
• Good communication skills (written and oral) in order to effectively communicate and report information to all levels of the Company
• Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and have the ability to perform the job under a moderate to high level of stress
• Ability to prioritize work and answer questions related to work assignments
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on a daily basis
