HAAS MILL MACHINIST About the Organization: We are a privately‑held independent metal fabrication company that produces components used in a wide range of industries. Our goal is to provide products and services that meet our customers' needs in a timely fashion with the highest level of quality and value. Our capabilities are constantly expanding and currently include metal stamping, laser cutting, brake forming, tubular stamped components, CNC and Swiss machined parts, wire forms, thread rolling, weldments, and integrated assemblies. Our modern facility includes a complete in‑house tool and die department and fastener distributorship. Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am-2:00 pm (1st shift). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to independently set up, program, and operate Haas mills and other equipment. Machine complex, high tolerance parts and components from blueprints and models. Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gage blocks, micrometers and dial calipers. Perform some machine alignment procedures and machine zero home procedures to keep equipment at peak operating performance. Be able to troubleshoot machine problems. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement. Excellent attendance and a positive, 'can do' attitude. THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
