Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and accurately review medical histories to gather essential patient information.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests, including blood tests and X-rays, to support your clinical evaluations.
• Diagnose and formulate treatment plans for diverse health conditions under the practice area of family medicine.
• Develop personalized treatment regimens tailored to managing chronic conditions as well as infectious diseases.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, monitoring patients closely to observe treatments' effectiveness and adjusting as necessary.
• Maintain organized and precise patient records using our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring all information is current and accessible.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and families regarding health conditions, risks, and ongoing preventive measures to empower their health journey.
• Oversee the overall health and well-being of patients, fostering a proactive approach to healthcare.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care practices through ongoing patient engagement and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physician Assistant will focus primarily on outpatient care for a diverse patient population within the Manlius area. This includes patients with chronic diseases, acute conditions requiring intervention, and those seeking preventive healthcare. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field is mandatory.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Physician Assistant in a family medicine clinic or similar healthcare environment is required.
• Specialization in family medicine with extensive primary care experience.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
