Director of Development

Bestow Balance, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm of Central Texas Dance Collaborative, seeks a founding Director of Advancement to build our development function from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape fundraising strategy for a growing performing arts organization anchored by APAX, a new 42,000-square-foot arts complex in Austin, Texas, opening December 2026 and featuring the 430-seat Luxora Theater. You’ll design and execute donor cultivation, major gifts, grant strategy, and board fundraising engagement, reporting directly to the CEO with real influence over organizational direction. Ideal candidates bring 3-5+ years of nonprofit development experience, a track record building or scaling a fundraising program, and comfort operating as a "founding" hire without an established playbook. Compensation includes base salary plus a tiered performance bonus tied to fundraising milestones.
