Job in a nutshell To be an integral part of the launch and ongoing success of Berry Bros. & Rudd in the USA. This role will drive online sales to achieve budget targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience through our digital offering, designed to engage fine wine and spirits customers and produce first time and repeat orders. This role will be responsible for day-to-day trading of our US based website, ensuring commercial targets are met through data led decision making, merchandising, promotions and product strategy. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, content, analytics and tech teams to optimise performance and customer journeys across the platform. Responsibilities Own the digital trading plan for the site, aligning with marketing, buying & commercial. Drive online revenue, conversion, and AOV through on-site optimisation, promotions, and merchandising strategies. Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales performance, traffic, and digital KPIs; identify risks and opportunities and act accordingly. Collaborate with buying and commercial teams to ensure product availability and bestsellers are prioritised. Execute and optimise promotional campaigns (product & price). Ensure seamless user experience (UX) across devices with high standards of visual merchandising. Enrich newly added products to ensure all products have descriptions and images. Work with digital marketing team on PPC, SEO, CRM to support trading objectives and BBR measures of success. Analyse product performance and recommend changes to category mix or site navigation. Use web analytics tools (e.g., Clarity, Shopify, GA4) to understand customer behaviour and optimise the journey. Who you will work with US Account Managers (US) Marketing & content team (UK & US) Buying & commercial (UK & US) Tech & product teams (UK) What you will bring to the role Skills, knowledge and behaviours 3+ years’ experience in an ecommerce or digital trading role, ideally within retail or DTC Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms, (desired: Shopify, Klaviyo) Proven commercial acumen and ability to manage trading calendars and promotional strategies Knowledge of ecommerce best practice Experience with analytics and performance reporting tools (e.g. GA4, Looker, Power BI) A good understanding of digital marketing channels and how they support trading. Wine and spirits knowledge desirable Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a results-oriented mindset. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
