Junior Product Manager

Title: Junior Product Manager Location: Rocky Mount, NC, USA(Hybrid) Client is looking for a Product Manager - Digital Product & Service Delivery candidate. local candidate only. ***Only qualified Product Manager candidates located in the Rocky Mount, NC area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence*** Required Education Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience Relevant fields may include business, public administration, information systems, computer science, engineering, design, human-computer interaction, communications, or related disciplines Preferred Certification Product management, Agile, Scrum, service design, UX research, or customer experience certifications are a plus but not required Required Skills Problem-solving with strong attention to detail (3 Years) Professional and effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders (3 Years) Prioritization and organization of multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment (3 Years) Leadership and team collaboration (3 Years) Experience with digital product development, software delivery, or technology modernization efforts (2 Years) Experience in software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, iterative delivery) (2 Years) Experience translating business needs into user stories, requirements, workflows, or product backlogs (2 Years) Experience leading the development, launch, modernization, or continuous improvement of digital products, software platforms, or customer-facing technology services Demonstrated experience working across the full product lifecycle, including discovery, prioritization, delivery, launch, measurement, and continuous improvement Experience working closely with software development teams, designers, vendors, and engineers in Agile or iterative delivery environments Strong ability to balance user needs, operational constraints, business objectives, policy requirements, and technical considerations when making product decisions Experience conducting user research, usability testing, customer interviews, service design activities, or other customer-centered product discovery practices Familiarity with accessibility, customer experience, service design, or digital transformation initiatives Preferred Skills Critical thinking and consulting experience Experience using performance metrics, customer feedback, and data to evaluate products or business processes Experience working with vendors, software development teams, designers, or engineers Experience conducting user research, usability testing, customer interviews, or service design activities Experience with large-scale software modernization efforts Experience in government, transportation, healthcare, financial services, or other regulated environments Experience with accessibility, customer experience, or digital transformation initiatives Experience with MS Project and/or Visio Nice to have Demonstrated curiosity about customer behavior, operational challenges, and opportunities to improve public services Comfortable working in ambiguity and using research, data, and experimentation to inform decisions.
