This role is primarily remote, but candidates must be located within driving distance of North County San Diego to support occasional in‑office needs (e.g., trial preparation). Responsibilities Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and trial materials E‑file and serve documents in California state and federal courts Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and case tracking Coordinate depositions, hearings, and litigation events Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court rules Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, and staff Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of current civil litigation legal secretary experience Strong experience supporting insurance defense litigation Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously Proficiency with California state and federal e‑filing systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Must be located within driving distance of North County San Diego Compensation & Benefits $70,000‑83,000 per year (DOE) 401(k) with employer contributions, profit sharing Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off (vacation, sick, personal, holidays) Parental leave Flexible spending accounts Equal Opportunity Statement Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
