Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Brighter Future Physical Therapy, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions, identifying movement dysfunction and the root causes of discomfort.
• Creating tailored treatment plans that align with each patient's specific rehabilitation goals and needs.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic exercises and activities to promote healing and recovery.
• Educating patients on proper techniques for therapeutic exercises and functional mobility to maximize their rehabilitation efforts.
• Utilizing advanced modalities such as stimulation and massage therapy to enhance recovery and comfort.
• Assisting patients with adaptive equipment, ensuring they achieve safe and effective mobility with tools such as walkers and wheelchairs.
• Maintaining detailed patient records to document progress and treatment efficacy, allowing for data-driven adjustments in care.
• Providing guidance and support to patients and their families regarding in-home treatment options and follow-up exercises.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse client base, encompassing individuals with various health conditions from musculoskeletal injuries to neurological disorders. This rich variety of cases allows you to leverage your skills in different therapeutic applications, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes and enhanced quality of life for our clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid and current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other office software to ensure streamlined documentation and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting is required, we welcome candidates with specialized training in pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, or sports medicine, as this will enrich our practice and enhance patient care strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
