Fert Technician

Cutting Edge is in search of a strong leader that leads by example to join our Fertilizer team. This position requires a lot of attention to detail, high levels of efficiency and time management. Key Responsibilities:

● Identify and treat turf and landscape plant issues and diseases

● Maintain and apply fertilizers and chemicals to lawns, landscapes and trees

● Manage and track daily route and product consumptions

● Perform daily maintenance on equipment and tools

● Prepare solutions in a safe manner to provide appropriate application rates

● Administer correct handling, transporting, storage and disposal of chemicals

● Prepare and submit daily reports of chemical applications

● Seasonal on-call snow removal as needed

Desired Skill Set:

● 3+ years of direct experience in commercial fertilizer application role

● Must have active CO and OP licenses granted by the Idaho State Department of Agriculture

● Great communication skills both verbally and in writing

● Demonstrates ability to lead and follow instructions

● Advanced computer skills and database knowledge

● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required

● Capable of passing a pre-employment drug screening

Work Conditions:

● Ability to work with power tools, wire tracers, two-wire systems and control boxes

● Capable of lifting 50lb repetitively throughout the day

● Ability to work in a fast paced environment

● Able to work for 8+ hours 5 days a week

● Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions
