Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and in-depth evaluations to understand clients' mental health needs, which will inform the creation of tailored treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families, utilizing a variety of methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing to address the spectrum of mental health issues.

• Offer crisis intervention services, demonstrating empathy and professionalism to guide clients through acute distress or emergencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Greene Health, you will work primarily with individuals in our detox center, many of whom may be experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. This role focuses on providing therapeutic support that respects the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients, including their cultural, socioeconomic, and emotional contexts. Your ability to foster trusting relationships will be crucial in aiding clients on their paths to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an independent and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Completion of a master’s degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities that enable you to establish rapport and create therapeutic alliances with clients from various backgrounds.

• A high degree of cultural competence and sensitivity, which fosters effective interactions with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic groups.
