Family Medicine physician job in Iowa :

An Iowa-based health services company is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a one-day assignment at an occupational health event in Cedar Rapids.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day
• Schedule: Tuesday, September 1st
• Hours: 7am to 6pm
• Setting: On-site

Responsibilities:

• Perform human performance exams to assess functional movement, musculoskeletal stability, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling capabilities
• Evaluate range of motion, strength, endurance, and any medical limitations affecting job performance
• Conduct focused physical exams and health screenings, including vitals and medical history review as needed
• Provide medical clearance determinations and fit-for-duty status based on clinical findings and physical demand requirements
• Document evaluations accurately and work collaboratively with onsite clinical and operational teams to support workflow efficiency

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of related work experience
• Experience making clinical clearance decisions and assessing functional capacity for job-specific tasks
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume screening setting and commit to the full shift

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Employee Health, Occupational Health, Pre-Employment Screenings, and/or Urgent Care
