Accounts Payable Accountant

Our client in the Greensboro area is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants the chance to transition into a permanent role. What You'll Do Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests Match invoices to receipts and supporting documentation Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain vendor records and respond to payment inquiries Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and accounting teams What We're Looking For 3+ years of recent Accounts Payable experience Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices Experience processing invoices in a high-volume environment Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and data analysis ERP/accounting software experience required Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
