Description The Sheraton Eatontown Hotel is seeking a passionate culinary professional to join our award-winning team as a Sous Chef. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and have a flair for high‑volume food preparation and presentation, we want to hear from you. The role of Sous Chef is responsible for properly preparing food in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest level of health standards. The Sous Chef should be familiar with the day‑to‑day operations of the hotel’s kitchen which includes cooking for the on‑site restaurant, room service, and all hotel functions. Requirements Responsibilities include: Plan, prepare, and cook various items while maintaining high levels of health standards Operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, broilers, etc Encourage your team members and contribute to a positive, productive workplace Help ensure compliance with our F&B policies and procedures Be willing to accept constructive feedback and use it as a tool for growth Achieve consistent results while managing demanding deadlines Always strive for exceptional guest service and satisfaction Assist in reviewing and monitoring supplies and inventory Compensation and Benefits include: This position offers a starting wage that ranges from $40k-$50k annually depending on qualifications and experience. Full time employees will have the opportunity to earn paid time‑off and join the company's health, dental, vision, and retirement plans (once qualified). Job Qualifications: Time management Ability to work as part of a team ServSafe Certification preferred Excellent communication and organization skills 1 to 2 years of restaurant experience preferred Ability to multi‑task in fast‑paced environment Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, kneel, squat, bend Ability to lift 20 pounds or more and push/pull 50 pounds or more.
