Busy Landlord/Tenant Law Firm is seeking a Paralega/Legal Assistant to join its Non-Payment Department!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file Rent Demands and Petitions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage nonpayment case documentation and maintain detailed case records.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and departmental guidelines during case processing.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to support case strategy and resolution.
- Monitor case status and follow up on filings and court requirements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience handling nonpayment cases
- Experience preparing and entering Rent Demands and Petitions.
- Experience with any aspects of landlord/tenant law a plus
- Legal experience a plus (could be within a law firm, real estate company, property management company, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures related to landlord-tenant nonpayment issues.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
