Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of students as an onsite Physical Therapist on a contract assignment, providing vital support to all grade levels in an itinerant setting. This engaging opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional passionate about helping children and adolescents thrive in their school environment. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 8AM-4PM, working with approximately 35 students across several schools.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and valid Physical Therapist (PT) state license required
  • Previous Pediatric or school-based PT experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel between school locations within the area
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to fostering student independence, mobility, and functional skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct PT services to students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure optimal support
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track student progress
  • Maintain detailed therapy documentation and comply with district/state policies
  • Promote student participation in school activities through targeted interventions
  • Serve as a resource for staff development on PT matters when needed
