Position Summary The Supervisor Tax & Accounting position at Reid Accountants + Advisors combines general accounting and income tax preparation responsibilities. The role involves reviewing business transactions, overseeing team work, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams and clients. It requires strong accounting principles and teamwork in an independently guided environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and verify the accuracy of general ledger accounts, manage closings, and ensure precise journal entries. Manage all phases of tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and research, ensuring adherence to regulations. Prepare and review various tax returns, including Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate. Supervise financial performance relative to budgets and forecasts, identifying improvement areas. Collaborate closely with Partners and Managers, providing guidance and assistance on ad‑hoc assignments and special projects. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required). CPA certification or CPA candidate. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a CPA firm. Proficiency with UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products (preferred). Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Job Type Full‑time Schedule 9:00 am – 5:30 pm – Remote to Hybrid with increased hours for busy seasons Location Woodbury, NY – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary starting at $110 k annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
