Details Work in the Med/Surg unit on the 3rd/4th floor of a hospital Care for adult patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts 36 hours per week across 3 shifts per week Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required BSN from a Board Approved Program preferred Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Good verbal and written communication skills Full DOB and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments Obtain and monitor physiological data, observing and intervening as needed Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make appropriate referrals for care needs Delegate tasks to support staff as needed Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Compliance documentation and onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical clearance) must begin immediately upon offer, as start dates will not be pushed Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to strict compliance deadlines Workers may only extend a contract one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-746091.
