Criminal Lawyer (BigLaw Firms)

Apply criminal law expertise to help improve AI systems through rigorous analysis of real-world legal materials. This remote contract role focuses on translating complex criminal-law issues into accurate, clear, and actionable training content. No prior AI experience is required. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze statutes, case law, court filings, and other criminal-law materials to identify relevant insights.
• Review and edit complex legal documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established standards.
• Summarize legal arguments, decisions, and procedural issues for legal AI training.
• Explain intricate legal concepts and reasoning in concise, accessible language.
• Provide actionable feedback that improves the accuracy and real-world applicability of legal content.
• Stay current with criminal-law developments and apply updated knowledge to project work.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams through digital platforms to meet project milestones.

• JD or LLM from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Substantial criminal-law practice experience, especially at a BigLaw firm or other major law firm.
• Demonstrated legal research, analysis, writing, editing, and legal-document review experience in criminal matters.
• Ability to synthesize large volumes of legal information with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain nuanced legal issues clearly.
• Sound ethical judgment and a commitment to high professional standards.
• Interest or experience in legal technology and comfort adapting to digital tools for remote collaboration.

• Remote contract engagement.

• $140 to $400 per hour.
