Role Overview
Apply criminal law expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through high-quality legal analysis, document review, and practical feedback. This remote contractor role focuses on translating real-world criminal law knowledge into clear, accurate material that supports how legal AI models learn and reason. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze criminal law materials, including statutes, case law, court filings, and case documents, to identify relevant insights.
- Review and edit complex legal documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established standards.
- Summarize legal arguments, judicial decisions, and procedural issues for legal AI training materials.
- Explain detailed legal concepts and reasoning in concise, accessible language.
- Provide actionable feedback on legal content to support accuracy and real-world applicability.
- Stay current with criminal-law developments and incorporate relevant updates into project work.
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams through digital platforms to meet project milestones.
Qualifications
- JD or LLM from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
- Substantial criminal-law practice experience, particularly at a BigLaw or major law firm.
- Demonstrated legal research, analysis, writing, and editing experience in criminal matters.
- Ability to review and synthesize high volumes of legal information with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain nuanced legal issues clearly.
- Sound ethical judgment and commitment to high professional standards.
- Interest or experience in legal technology and comfort adapting to digital tools for remote collaboration.

- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $140 to $400 per hour.
