Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Pay rate: 27/Hour on W2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Proofreader to join a fast-paced creative production team supporting a global consumer brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proofreading, copyediting, and quality assurance for marketing and technical content. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and experience maintaining brand consistency across a high volume of print and digital assets.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and review a high volume of marketing materials and brand communications.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines across all deliverables.
• Review content including product packaging, retail signage, channel partner communications, e-commerce pages, product pages, feature pages, marketing guides, and brand documentation.
• Collaborate with editors, legal teams, project managers, production teams, and marketing stakeholders.
• Maintain the highest standards of quality, confidentiality, and brand integrity.
• Track multiple projects, milestones, and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
• Utilize ticketing systems and workflow tools to manage and route deliverables efficiently.
• Identify and resolve content, formatting, grammar, spelling, and consistency issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in proofreading, copyediting, or editorial review.
• Experience reviewing marketing, advertising, branding, or technical content.
• Experience supporting creative agencies, design firms, publishing organizations, or corporate marketing teams.
• Strong understanding of production workflows and brand communication standards.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with global consumer brands.
• Familiarity with retail, e-commerce, packaging, and interactive content.
• Experience in high-volume production environments.
• Knowledge of brand governance and quality control processes.
