As Accounting Manager, you will lead the company's accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and reliable financial information that supports sound business decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll partner closely with senior leadership to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, improve financial processes, manage cash flow, and provide the insights needed to support Goldenstate Landscapes' continued growth and long-term success. What You'll Do Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including financial statements, reconciliations, and cash flow reporting. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and general ledger activities. Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and key financial performance indicators to support strategic decision-making. Partner with leadership to provide financial insights that drive profitability, operational performance, and business growth. Maintain strong internal controls, ensure compliance, and coordinate with external CPAs, banks, and financial partners. Improve accounting processes, reporting systems, and workflows to increase efficiency and support a growing organization. Collaborate with managers across the company to promote financial accountability and operational excellence. What We're Looking For We're looking for a proactive accounting professional who combines strong technical expertise with sound business judgment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable partnering with leadership to improve financial performance, strengthen processes, and support a growing organization. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience. Experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, or a similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and general ledger management. Ability to prepare and interpret Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial leaders. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Highly Desirable: Experience in the landscaping, construction, field services, or another project-based trade industry. Experience with job costing, budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and profitability analysis. Experience with Aspire or similar ERP software is a plus, but not required. CPA, CMA, or other professional accounting designation is a plus.
