Management-CS Global-Lead (Management) : Job Level - Executive Director

We are seeking someone to join our team as the Global Lead (Executive Director) of T&E Expense Management. The Global Head of Expense Management is responsible for leading the Firm's global expense management function, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight responsible for expense policy, reimbursement operations, compliance controls, expense technology platforms, collaborating on corporate card programs, and employee support services. This role requires balancing business enablement with strong risk management while continuously evolving industry-leading expense solutions that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve employee experience across the end-to-end travel and expense ecosystem.

In the Corporate Services division, we empower our businesses by creating collaborative workplace solutions and commercial services that enhance the employee and client experience, while optimizing the value of our sourcing and third-party lifecycle to enable the Firm to do-and-win business. This is an Executive Director position within the Travel and Expense Management team..

What you'll do in the role:

• Lead the Firm's global Expense Management function, defining strategy, operating model, and long-term vision.
• Provide executive oversight of global expense operations, ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency, and compliance with Firm policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive global transformation initiatives across processes, technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance employee experience and strengthen controls.
• Establish and maintain a robust governance framework for expense policy, risk management, controls, and stakeholder engagement.
• Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Legal, HR, and Corporate Services to influence strategy and deliver business outcomes.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a global organization while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Corporate Travel colleagues to ensure a robust and efficient end-to-end T&E experience.
• Collaborate with vendors such as SAP Concur, and others to ensure maximum performance from third-party tools and mitigation of service issues.
• Serve as the escalation point for VIP and executive-level matters, driving timely resolution of complex issues through proactive stakeholder management and white-glove service delivery.
• Build and lead an engaged, high-performing team by coaching talent, promoting continuous development, and creating a culture that values open communication, innovation, collaboration, and diverse perspectives.

What you'll bring to the role:

• 10+ years of extensive leadership experience in travel and expense management including significant leadership experience within a global organization.
• Deep expertise in expense operations, policy governance, risk management, compliance, and industry best practices.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation programs, process modernization efforts, and technology implementations.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to balance business enablement, employee experience, operational excellence, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and build partnerships across complex, matrixed organizations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and people management skills, with experience leading global and geographically dispersed teams.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $165,000 and $265,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
