Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities Manage and administer the subcontract life cycle process for assigned projects Support S&L clients in their procurement processes Draft, assemble and issue request for proposal (RFP) packages to suppliers / subcontractors Negotiate and finalize terms and conditions, including those related to indemnities, warranties, liabilities, pricing, schedule, etc. Create purchase orders in Client or S&L’s internal vendor management systems Track material orders, deliveries in vendor management systems Expedite suppliers / subcontractors / engineering input, as appropriate Coordinate and work closely with engineering project managers, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors and client personnel Assist in evaluation of proposals from suppliers / subcontractors Perform risk assessments on potential and existing subcontracts Monitor and evaluate contract performance Record keeping / document control with audit involvement Processing vendor invoices for payment Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and/or contract administration Strong written, verbal, & people communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers and contractors as necessary MS Office Suite proficiency Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience Power industry experience supporting large power generation, substation or transmission line projects CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) and/or C.P.M (Certified Purchasing Manager) designation Experience with Workday and MS Outlook We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
