Intake Coordinator, Home Health

Intake Support CoordinatorWe are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Intake Support Coordinator to support daily intake operations for our home health agency in Culver City. This role is responsible for coordinating intake activities, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, supporting referral processing, and ensuring excellent customer service to patients, staff, and referral sources. The hourly range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $28-$29; however, pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and coordinate non-clinical intake referralsSupport referral entry, tracking, and distributionAssist with phone coverage and daily intake operationsVerify insurance eligibility and coverage informationObtain and track service authorizations and utilizationCommunicate insurance and authorization details to clinical, billing, and collections teamsPrepare payer reports as requested after clinical reviewPerform data entry for service-related chargesOrder and monitor medical supplies when neededMaintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA complianceProvide professional customer service and maintain positive working relationshipsSupport agency goals, policies, and performance improvement activitiesComplete additional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum typing speed of 35 WPMBasic computer skills and strong organizational abilitiesCustomer service or client-facing experience requiredAt least one year of experience in home health, healthcare, hospital, or medical office setting preferredBasic knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes preferredWhy Join Assisted?
