Key Responsibilities\n

• Assess mental health needs through comprehensive, trauma-informed evaluations to identify the history and specific therapeutic requirements of each patient.

• Develop, execute, and continually adapt individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on fostering resilience and coping skills.

• Provide various evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients navigate their trauma experiences, employ effective coping strategies, and ultimately promote healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to create a cohesive care strategy that addresses the holistic needs of patients.

• Respond to trauma-related crises, offering timely support and intervention either during sessions or through emergency contacts.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, available coping mechanisms, and community resources.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards to ensure continuity of care.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities dedicated to trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance service quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will primarily be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and other life-altering experiences. You will play a pivotal role in their recovery process and will tailor your approach to cater specifically to their unique needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current, valid licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within California.

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mental health counseling, providing trauma-specific care.

• Strong familiarity with trauma-related disorders and various trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
