Overview:
- Client is seeking three mid-level DevOps Engineers to join a build/release automation team for a six-month engagement. Candidates will own CI/CD pipeline execution and release management within an established GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy environment.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
- Own release automation and deployment orchestration using Octopus Deploy
- Manage build/release processes across multiple environments (dev, staging, production)
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve pipeline failures and improve build reliability
- Monitor and maintain deployment health, rolling back or remediating failed releases as needed
- Document pipeline configurations and release procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation for release-related incidents (if applicable to team structure)
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps, Release Engineering, or Build/Release role
- Hands-on production experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline development
- Hands-on production experience with Octopus Deploy for release management (not just general CD tooling direct Octopus experience required)
- Solid understanding of build automation, artifact management, and multi-environment deployment strategies
- Comfortable working independently within an established toolchain
- Strong troubleshooting skills for pipeline and deployment failures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting release processes in a telecom, retail, or consumer services environment
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, etc.)
- Scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for pipeline tooling
