Work Environment

This position allows for a hybrid work setting, with remote responsibilities designed to facilitate flexible scheduling catered to patient needs. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Licensed Mental Health Counselor include:

• Conducting thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological well-being of patients and identify specific treatment needs.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans designed to meet the unique needs of each patient based on their assessments.
• Delivering evidence-based therapy using a variety of clinical techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing emotional issues, promoting personal growth, and enhancing coping mechanisms.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic care for all patients.
• Engaging in crisis interventions when required, providing necessary support during mental health emergencies.
• Educating patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources that can aid in their journey toward recovery.
• Maintaining precise and confidential clinical documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards in mental health treatment.
• Participating in team meetings and case conferences, as well as committing to ongoing professional development through continuing education.
• Staying current with best practices and evolving regulations within the mental health field to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• A foundational understanding of mental health disorders, with an emphasis on evidence-based treatments and trauma-informed care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build therapeutic relationships with clients quickly.
• Expertise in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, accurately diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment strategies.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable with various computer applications related to clinical documentation.

Preferred Experience

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we welcome professionals who are passionate about mental health counseling and eager to learn and grow within our practice.
