The Global Communications team is a nimble team in ESPA that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from Executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the ESPA team across the world. This is a high-energy, hardworking and collaborative team that values colleagues who can anticipate what needs to get done and act accordingly, are quick thinkers and can problem solve matters that arise unexpectedly, are intellectually curious, who operate with a sense of urgency, and who have high professional standards, strong judgment and thoughtful work product.About the RoleThe Vice President of Human Resources Communications is a key member of Citi’s Global Communications team within the ESPA organization, who will work specifically in support of HR communication needs.Reporting to the Director of HR Communications, the Vice President will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, compelling communications that advance strategic HR priorities and engage all Citi colleagues. The Vice President will work to develop and execute communications, which may include email and article development, executive communications, channel management, and town hall material preparation and planning. In addition, the Vice President will work with a team of professionals within the HR organization and coordinate closely with Communications colleagues.Responsibilities:Support communications strategy, development and tactical execution to enhance and drive awareness of key HR initiatives among Citi colleagues and key stakeholders, across topics including benefits, compensation, performance management, learning and developmentDevelop a range of communication materials, including written and video messages, talking points, town hall preparations, social posts, etc.Maintain HR channels, including newsletters and HR pages on Citi’s intranet siteMonitor and analyze feedback and engagement rates with HR communicationsSupport executive leaders and partners in driving consistent messaging that has the right tone and information and is clear, conversational, and engagingDevelop creative communications tactics to break through and resonate with colleagues while also leveraging primary web, video and town hall channelsSupport external communications needs, as appropriateQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in communications or another related fieldKnowledge of communications or marketing and 7+ years of increased responsibility, preferably with a large and complex organizationExperience with managing content for corporate channel including newsletters and intranet sitesA leader who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to contributeStrong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executivesAbility to think creatively, approach communications from new angles and with an instinctive distaste for wordiness, corporate jargon and flat proseAbility to learn complex financial and business topics quickly and translate them into compelling narrativesIntegrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitudeAbility to work in a fast paced and dynamic environmentA team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to carry out their workExcellent organizational and project management skillsExperience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organizationTrack record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environmentCritical Competencies:Oral CommunicationWritten CommunicationProject ManagementRelationship BuildingResults OrientationStrategic Orientation------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Communications and External Relations------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Communications Management------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$129,840.00 - $194,760.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
