Billing Coordinator

The Direct Hire Division of Consilio, LLC is working with a highly regarded law firm that is seeking to hire a Billing Coordinator to join their New York, NY office. This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm.

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Coordinator to join our team in New York, NY. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work closely with legal professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in legal billing, strong knowledge of eBilling processes, and proficiency with industry-standard billing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and process client invoices in accordance with firm and client guidelines
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of billing activities
• Manage and track eBilling submissions across multiple platforms
• Leverage knowledge of eBilling requirements to ensure compliance with client guidelines
• Address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies with attorneys, clients, and internal departments
• Monitor aging reports and assist with collections efforts as needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client billing requirements and compliance standards
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient billing processes
• Generate reports and analyze billing data using Excel

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience, ideally in a law firm environment
• Strong knowledge of eBilling processes and systems
• Proficiency in Aderant Expert and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Familiarity with eBilling platforms, including:
• TyMetrix
• CounselLink
• Legal Tracker
• Collaborati
• Passport
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment:

• Hybrid schedule (combination of in-office and remote work)

Compensation:

• Salary range: $100,000 – $135,000 , commensurate with experience
• Comprehensive benefits package
